[Milwaukee Go Club] UWM Union food court 7pm

Hi, yes, go club meets tomorrow (Sat) as usual 7pm in the UWM Union in
the back part of the food court area. Now that school's started, I
don't expect insufficient turnout to be a problem unless otherwise
specified. So come on over and invite your game-playing friends. I'm
expecting 5 or 6 players in attendance.

We're expecting a reasonable critical mass for playing go Sat evening
at the UWM Union. Come on over!

Whoever hopes to attend Go Club on Sept 1 or 8, would you confirm? Last time we had 4, which was good.

Also, now is the time to register for the class that is offered in LaLumiere Hall at Marquette on Sundays 4-5pm. http://www.mmcsweb.com/cgi-bin/stdreg1st.cgi
It's a great deal, at only $40 for the whole semester, starting 9/9. Look for the Go Club banner!

Look for the Milwaukee Go Club banner! Meetings will remain 1-4pm on Sat at Bayshore until at least mid-September. At some point it will probably move back to UWM, perhaps later in the afternoon, but for the time being, we're keeping summer hours at the summer location. milwaukeego | August 25, 2012 at 1:20 am | Tags: baduk, hours, location, milwaukee go club, summer | Categories: Uncategorized, wei-ch'i, weiqi, weiqi wei-ch'i baduk, 围棋, 圍棋 | URL: http://wp.me/p1LDBP-4m Comment    See all comments Unsubscribe or change your email settings at Manage Subscriptions. Milwaukee Go: Summer meetings Sat 1-4pm at Bayshore

Over the summer, notices will generally appear only on milwaukeego.wordpress.com, so go there for any updates (and subscribe to the weekly blog there if possible -- I hope to phase out weekly e-mails).  If you're a regular and would like the option to post there, please let me know.

In the meantime, please e-mail me at milwaukeego@gmail.com if you know you're coming.  Thanks, and have a great summer!

New post on Milwaukee Go Club Summer meetings Sat 1-4pm at Bayshore by milwaukeego OK -- it's confirmed with Board Game Barrister. Summer meetings will be Saturdays 1-4 in the room off of the food court at Bayshore. We get to share the space with the people playing Heroclix, which is good because they will open and close the room. If you know you're planning to come, it would help if you let us know ahead of time. Also, remember, if you are members of the American Go Association, you can record your games and get rankings. Any comments, please e-mail! milwaukeego | May 30, 2012 at 4:44 am | Tags: baduk, go, goe, igo, schedule, summer, wei-ch'i, weiqi | Categories: Uncategorized | URL: http://wp.me/p1LDBP-4k Comment    See all comments Unsubscribe or change your email settings at Manage Subscriptions. New post on Milwaukee Go Club confirmed (finally): Sat 2pm at Bayshore food court sponsored by Board Game Barrister by milwaukeego Sorry, I didn't get confirmation until just now, but yes, we're on tomorrow (Sat 5/26) at 2pm at Bayshore. Board Game Barrister will host, in the room in the food court area by Panda Express. If you can't find it, check with the staff of Board Game Barrister. Location for the rest of the summer still remains to be determined. Anyone willing to be in charge for the rest of the summer (of course you can take vacation!) would be very helpful and would smooth the logistics in either location. New post on Milwaukee Go Club Summer schedule: Saturday 2pm by milwaukeego Starting this Saturday afternoon (tomorrow, Memorial Day weekend), we'll be on a summer schedule: Saturday 2pm. Bring your own board+stones. Location will be determined and posted on Friday afternoon. Would everyone who can make it reply to this e-mail and/or "register" at milwaukeego.wordpress.com to post a comment? Unless there is a single person who would be willing to come every week, it seems that moving back to Board Game Barrister at Bayshore mall might be logistically safer, but this isn't required. If you have any opinions now is the time to express them. milwaukeego | May 25, 2012 at 4:43 am | Categories: Uncategorized | URL: http://wp.me/p1LDBP-4e Comment    See all comments Unsubscribe or change your email settings at Manage Subscriptions. New post on Milwaukee Go Club meet tonight; query about Mem Day and summer by milwaukeego Hi, yes, we meet tonight 7pm. As many of you as can come would be good, so we can talk about scheduling the summer. 1) It turns out that three or four of the people who normally come every time will be away over the summer. I'm guessing that changing the meeting time to the afternoon will help keep the attendance at critical mass. But people who plan to play over the summer should probably also exchange contact info with each other to coordinate if necessary. Is there anyone willing to take responsibility for the go club for the summer? 2) Maybe 2pm start time rather than 4pm for the summer? (It'll probably have to be 4pm in the fall, but 2 is fine for the summer.) 3) Maybe move back to Board Game Barrister for the summer? 4) Let's start the afternoon schedule next week, which is Memorial Day weekend? 5) The up side of people being gone to China for the summer is that we're planning to return with more go sets and perhaps also teaching materials. Please post comments and suggestions at milwaukeego.wordpress.com if you can, otherwise send mail to m i l w a u k e e g o - at - g m a i l . milwaukeego | May 19, 2012 at 6:16 am | Categories: Uncategorized | URL: http://wp.me/p1LDBP-4c Comment    See all comments Unsubscribe or change your email settings at Manage Subscriptions.
