The Cyclone Go Club is once again happy to invite all of you to our biggest event of the semester: the All-Iowa Tournament!
What: All-Iowa Tournament
When: Saturday, December 5th, 2009
Where: Gallery Room of the Memorial Union, Iowa State University, Ames IA
PREREGISTRATION REQUIRED

Fee --
Club Member: $20 (Pre-Registration)
Non Member: $25 (Pre-Registration)
Non-AGA members may join for one day for $10. See the AGA website for details: http://usgo.org/org/application.html
Coffee and bagels included.
The All-Iowa Tournament is the biggest tournament in Iowa. It is held twice a year in spring and fall, and it constantly brings players from all over the Midwest. This is a handicapped tournament for the Iowa Cup. The All-Iowa tournament regularly has prizes from Yellow Mountain and Slate and Shell, but this year we also have cash prizes. We are giving $150* to 1st place and $100* to second place.

Some members of the Cyclone Go Club have volunteered their houses and apartments for lodging. This is free first-come-first-serve lodging.Space is limited so please let us know as soon as you can. Other lodging option in Ames is the Memorial Union Hotel

Back in action
The Milwaukee Go Club is back!
Meetings are on Fridays every other week from 6pm to 8pm, starting today, Oct. 9, 2009 (sorry for the late notice!)

Looking for an organizer
As some of you may have noticed, the club is in hiatus. Kay has moved out and the club needs a new organizer. The job includes posting blog entries, sending emails, updating the calendar, and probably most importantly, show up at meetings on a regular basis (doesn't have to be every time). You will be working with Dave at the Barrister. If you are interested, or have any question, send email to the address found on the profile page.

Make Your Own Late Night at Marquette University
Kay is doing Origami workshop and Go demo at 9pm-1am on Friday March 27, 2009 at Marquette University Alumni Memorial Union (on Wisconsin Ave. and 16th St.) as part of their Make Your Own Late Night. If you are staying up late around Marquette, come and play some Go. They have many other hands-on activities, too. Learn more about the Late Night Marquette Programs here.
